Come join us in the Val d’Orcia region of Tuscany, Italy. Our wedding will take place at L’Olmo, a 7-bedroom farmhouse and boutique hotel built in 1600, historically used as a place where pilgrims would stop for the night on their way to Rome.
We stayed at L’Olmo in June 2023 during ♡ Michael & Amahlia’s ♡ wedding just after getting engaged in Florence. We fell in love with the beauty of the Val d’Orcia, the amazing hospitality of the staff at Olmo, and the idea of returning to the place that made us fall in love with Italy with Mika and our closest friends and family.
Monticchiello is a small medieval village at the center of the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Tuscany known for rolling hills, vineyards, cypresses, medieval hilltops, and castles. We stayed in the town’s tower during our trip and had a wonderful stay. ♡ This is the nearest town to our venue, just five minutes up the road by car. We recommend staying in one of many scenic accommodations in and around this town to simplify shuttle travel to and from our venue.
Pienza can be seen in the horizon from our wedding venue, L’Olmo. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site in itself and was built primarily in the 15th century. This is the second closest town to our venue and an equally beautiful place to stay during our wedding festivities. While Monticchiello is a tiny hamlet full of charm, Pienza feels more like a town. Our welcome event will take place at a restaurant in Pienza.
